Subject Summary, Fall 2004

Using interview data collected during an ethnographic research study of identity, treatment, and behavior change in Minnesota juvenile correctional facilities, this curriculum module provides information about the problem of youth who are dually involved in child welfare and juvenile justice systems of care. This module can be used for a child welfare, methods, or policy course.

CASCW’s subject summaries were developed by affiliated faculty within the School of Social Work from 2004–2010. Child welfare-relevant evaluation findings, which include current policies and practices affecting Title IV-E eligible families and children, are incorporated into these supplemental training materials.
