This module will review a year-long collaboration between the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare at the University of Minnesota’s School of Social Work and the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office be@school truancy intervention program to increase the understanding of and improve interventions for chronic school absenteeism for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. This model is designed to highlight the results of this research that are particularly salient for child protection workers and supervisors as they work with children who may be experiencing chronic school absenteeism.
