$1 billion budget bill, including cuts to CCSA, passes House

HF 130, a bill that includes a 21% reduction to the Children and Community Services Assistance grants (the primary source of state funding for Child Protection services), passed the House in a close 68-63 vote yesterday. Amended SF 60 passes out of Finance Committee

This morning, SF 60, containing proposed cuts to the Children and Community Services Assistance (CCSA) grants, passed out of committee on a 9-6 roll call vote. Author, Sen. Robling, did propose amendments to the bill before the vote, including a reduction of the CCSA cut from $19.2 million (30% reduction) to $13.6 million (21% reduction). [...]
