On Tuesday, Sept 2nd, classes officially began at the University of Minnesota.
On that day, the 2014-15 MSW Child Welfare Hennepin County Cohort began their orientation for their field placements at the Health and Human Services building in downtown Minneapolis.
This year, we have 7 IV-E MSW students interning within Hennepin County in the following units:

We are looking forward to another great year at Hennepin!
About the MSW Child Welfare Hennepin County Cohort
CASCW collaborates with Hennepin County Social Services to provide an opportunity for a small group of IV-E MSW students each year to experience child welfare work within Minnesota’s largest county. Students in this cohort experience additional supervision with an onsite University of Minnesota IV-E Field Coordinator and participate in bimonthly onsite and offsite county seminars which provide informal learning opportunities that connect students with a wide variety of social workers working in child protection/child welfare roles.
