Wednesday, March 23, is a major day for public testimony on the proposed state budget solutions regarding Health and Human Services. Of the long list of testifiers (90!), I have highlighted four that are closely related to Child Welfare:
Lucinda Jesson, Commissioner, Department of Human Services
Mary Regan, Executive Director, Minnesota Council of Child Caring Agencies
Eric Ratzmann, Minnesota Association of County Social Service Administrators
Alexis Oberdorfer, Director of Adoption Operations and Domestic Programs
Being good social work and policy folks, we see important connections between issue areas, so you may also be interested in the testimony of others outside of the Child Welfare field. All testifier names are listed below so that you can find testifiers by their place in the line up.
To read the HF927 Omnibus budget bill materials, stream audio or video or find records after the hearing, the committee web page is a one-stop shop.
If you want to go in person, here’s the info:
The House HHS Finance committee will begin taking public testimony at 8:15 AM in Room 118 of the Capitol. The committee will recess at 12 noon. The committee will begin again at 12:30 PM in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building and recess at 4:15 PM for the House Floor session.
