In this module series, moral injury in emerging adults who have child welfare histories are explored. In the first module, we will provide an overview of the meaning moral injury, describe our research of moral injurious events that occurred in childhood and adolescence as described by 28 emerging adults with histories of child welfare involvement and we will discuss the contributions of the Moral injury events scores and life histories of said participants. In the second module, we will revisit our findings from Module 1 and will hear the stories of two young adults who experienced moral injury in foster care. Additional research findings and discussion will follow.
