In this two-part module, by Sun-Kyung Lee, PhD and Alyssa R. Palmer, MA, participants will learn about the intersection between student homelessness, child welfare involvement, and education.Two studies are presented using Minnesota statewide administrative datasets. Findings from the reviewed literature and study results describe: the current state of the literature pertaining to multi-system involved children; how cross system involvement is related to school engagement; persistent disparities in involvement with various social services; the importance of cross system administrative data; and policy recommendations on how to integrate services across multiple systems.
